  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 stick unsalted butter (cold)
  • 3/4 cup molasses
  • 3/4 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 traditional pie crust
